What does your role entail?

Sustaining a great working environment for staff to fulfil their roles the best they possibly can. Serving drinks, cooking food and Front of House service.

How did you get your start working in Cinemas?

I was headhunted from a previous workplace – they thought I had what it takes to be a part of the Event Cinemas team.

Why do you LIKE working in Cinemas?

It’s different, due to the new movies every week, keeping things interesting.

What’s your career path looked like to date?

Started as a Gold Class cook, then to Bar staff, Floor and scoop staff, and now Gold Class Supervisor.

During your time at this Cinema, what has been your proudest moment?

Leading our team through sold out sessions with orders, timing and service being 100%.

What has been your greatest professional achievement to date?

Every time I work is the next greatest achievement. Improvement is made by me and our team every shift.

Where do you wish to go from here?

As far as I can get.

What challenges do you face in this role?

Time pressures, and staff seeking guidance regularly.

What message do you have to tell others about working in the Cinema industry?

No….I don’t get to just watch movies every day!!!

Tell us about one of your best Cinema experiences.

We had a wedding proposal in the cinema and it was so fun to be a part of!

Do you manage people? What is that like?

Very inspirational. I push people to their highest capabilities every shift. It is a rewarding feeling.
